I have been in the process of replacing the furniture in my home. So far, I have replaced the nightstands in the bedroom. However, the apartment needs more work.

One of the most hideous items in my apartment is my futon sofa. Yes, I still have this after fifteen years. I would love to buy a new, sleek, modern sofa that better reflects my style, but I don’t have the cash for that.

Since I’m trying to replace my sofa without spending a lot of money, maybe I should try to make one. Now, I’m not a woodworker. I don’t know how to use a miter saw (or any saw) and I’m not great at using a drill. Nevertheless, I’m determined to make a sofa or daybed, especially after finding some DIY versions on Pinterest.
