I have wonderful memories of Thanksgiving celebrations. We always had great food and wonderful guests. I especially loved helping my mother set and decorate the table. We matched the napkins with the tableware and arranged the fruit and gourds along a beautiful table runner. I even made a Turkey centerpiece with construction paper.
Now that I live alone, I don’t get a chance to decorate the Thanksgiving table. However, I still love to DIY decorations. If I get a chance to host a Thanksgiving dinner, I would DIY my decorations like the examples listed below.
So, if you are going to make your own Thanksgiving decorations, why not try some of the following DIY projects:
Kraft Paper Table Runner
I love By Dawn Nicole’s kraft paper table runner. You can have each guest write their name at their place on the table or have them write what they are thankful for. Once dinner is over, just roll it up and discard it (or, if you eco-conscious, recycle it).
Faux Floral Table Runner
How about something more tropical for your table? This beautiful faux floral table runner by The Proper Blog will definitely turn heads
