It’s that time of the year again. I don’t know about you, but I’m in gift-making (and gift-giving) hell! I still haven’t finished making some of the gifts I plan to give.
If you are in the same boat and need some gift ideas, why not make one of the items listed below.
Holiday Gift Ideas 2017
Who doesn’t need a scarf! If you start one of these scarves now, you should be able to finish before Christmas. The super skinny scarf is especially quick to knit. Plus, it’s the perfect scarf for warmer climates.
Super Skinny Scarf
Funky Fringe Scarf
I love making coasters. They are the perfect last-minute gifts that you can give to your friends and family. You can make them using a variety of materials, but I like using durable cotton yarn.
A set of braided swirl coasters will only take an afternoon to make. Just take some scrap cotton yarn, braid the yarn, then make the coaster.
If you enjoy knitting but want a quick and easy gift to make, then the garter stitch coaster and trivet set is for you. If you don’t want to knit a trivet, you could knit a set of coasters in a variety of colors. It only took me an afternoon to knit the coaster and trivet set, so it’s also a perfect last-minute gift.
Other home decor gift ideas include:
Set of Dishcloths
Set of Braided Placemats
If you only have a few days to spare, then making a piece of jewelry will be a good bet.
The following projects will only take a couple of hours to make:
Fringe Ladder Necklace
Seed Bead Bar Necklace
Silver Fringe Earrings
Wire Post Earrings
If you like braiding, then make a set of braided pendants. They are easy to make and should only take an afternoon or a weekend to complete.
Now that I gave you some holiday gift ideas, I would love to know what you’re giving to your friends and family. Please let me know in the Comments section below.
