I wanted to make dangle earrings but had trouble deciding what type to make. I realized that I had some mussel shell drops, so I decided to make seashell dangle earrings.

These earrings are inspired by the beach. They add shimmer and glamour to any beach wear or casual dress. Also, they are lightweight, so you can wear them comfortably all day without experiencing pressure or pain on the earlobes.

The earrings were made using jump rings to create a chain maille pattern. I’m not an expert in chain maille terminology, but there are plenty of jewelry websites that go into detail.

Please note that making chain maille involves opening and closing jump rings which can strain the wrists. To avoid this, make certain that the tip of one plier is exactly opposite the tip of the other plier before opening and closing the jump rings. Also, make certain that you take plenty of breaks in between sections.

These earrings took a couple of hours to make. If you have time, you could make a few pairs in a day. Make several pairs in different colors for the people on your gift list.

If you are looking for a beach-inspired jewelry project, then these seashell dangle earrings are for you.
