I saw a pair of freshwater pearl hoop earrings on Etsy that were very beautiful. Alas, they were too expensive for me to buy, so I made a pair of my own.
These pearl hoop earrings are easy to make. You only need 2 materials:
- SwarovskiⓇ crystal pearl beads, and;
- wire hoop earrings.
I decided to use these materials because they are cheap and easy to buy. You can find these materials at any discount crafting store or jewelry supply store. Plus, pearl earrings are always popular.
No tools are needed to make these earrings. Just string the glass pearls, close the earrings, and wear. The earrings are self-closing, so there’s no need for earring wire. It should take no more than 15 minutes to make these earrings.
So, if you want to make something that is:
Then, look no further than the pearl hoop earrings.
Let’s get started.
26 6mm SwarovskiⓇ crystal pearl beads in Iridescent Tahitian
2 gold-plated wire hoop earrings
Dimensions (approximate): 1.25″ (32mm) diameter
Open a hoop earring and string a pearl bead onto the hoop.
Continue until there are 13 pearl beads on the hoop, then close the earring.
Repeat with the other hoop earring.
Here is a picture of me wearing the earrings:
